Job Title: Electrical Testing Engineer
Location: Amman, Jordan.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer to perform electrical acceptance testing, maintenance testing, troubleshooting, and condition assessment of LV and MV power systems. The successful candidate must be capable of independently executing field testing activities, interpreting results, preparing professional reports, and representing the company on project sites with minimal supervision.
This position is intended for engineers with proven hands-on experience in electrical testing
Key Responsibilities
• Perform electrical testing and inspection of LV and MV power system equipment in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
• Independently execute field testing activities and verify equipment condition, performance, and compliance.
• Perform testing on:
o Power Transformers
o Medium Voltage Switchgear
o Low Voltage Switchgear
o Circuit Breakers
o Protective Relays
o Current Transformers (CTs)
o Voltage Transformers (VTs)
o Power Cables
o Motors
o Grounding Systems
o Metering Systems
• Analyze test results and identify deficiencies, abnormal conditions, or equipment failures.
• Prepare accurate and professional field reports and final testing documentation.
• Coordinate directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical testing of LV and MV power systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing methodologies and industry best practices.
• Strong technical reporting and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on project sites.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Has the academic and technical ability to obtain industry-recognized electrical testing certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using equipment such as:
o Omicron CPC100
o STS 500
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is a field-oriented Electrical Testing Engineer who can independently mobilize to site, execute testing activities, communicate professionally with clients, troubleshoot issues when encountered, and deliver complete testing reports with minimal supervision. Experience in electrical testing is essential; general construction or installation experience alone is not sufficient for this role.
